1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Jekyll Theme Maker, you agree to comply with these terms of use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use our platform. These terms may be updated periodically.

2. Use of Jekyll Theme Maker

• Jekyll Theme Maker is a visual SaaS platform providing a WYSIWYG builder to generate and deploy static Jekyll themes to Cloudflare Pages or GitHub.
• You commit to using the platform only for legal purposes and in accordance with these terms.
• You are responsible for the security of your account, and for all activities that occur under your dashboard.
• Using our platform to build or host illegal, fraudulent, or copyright-infringing content is strictly prohibited.

3. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

• Your Code is Yours: The client retains full intellectual property of their generated static sites and all the content within them. We do not claim any ownership over your articles, images, or exported HTML/CSS code.
• Our Engine: The Jekyll Theme Maker platform, its visual editing engine interface, and proprietary components are the property of Jekyll Theme Maker and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reverse-engineer the automated visual editor.

4. Platform Lock-in

• Zero Lock-in Policy: We guarantee that you can export your Jekyll theme at any time as a raw .zip file or push it directly to Git. You are never forced to host with us or keep an active subscription to use the code you have already exported.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

• The “Free Tier” provides basic visual editing capabilities entirely for free.
• The “Pro Tier” offers advanced features like direct Git synchronization and 1-click Cloudflare deployments. Payments are processed securely.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time without losing access to the code you’ve already generated.

6. Limitation of Liability

• Jekyll Theme Maker provides the visual builder service “as is”. While we strive for perfect template generation, we are not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the generated static sites on your ultimate hosting provider (e.g., Cloudflare Pages).

7. Privacy and Cookies

• Your use of Jekyll Theme Maker is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which details our data handling, cookie usage, and GDPR compliance.
